A Welcome from the Pastor

Thank you for dropping by our church's website. It's presently a site-in-progress, as you've probably noticed.

Grace Bible Church is a small community church located on the border of Maryland & Pennsylvania in the quiet town of New Freedom. We're presently averaging between 60 to 85 people on a Sunday morning worship service.

Our church is currently made up of a lot of young families (6 babies in the past 18 months with another baby on the way) with a good mix of older teens, college students, middle aged & senior citizens.

Our youth group has been seeing great growth in their Wednesday meetings here at the church as well as at their home fellowships on Sunday evenings.

We currently do not have many upper elementary children or younger teens, though we're eager to develop those ministries.

Our music is conservatively traditional and my preaching tends to be expository, though I like a lot of variety. I strive to keep it applicable and relevant. For Scripture readings & preaching, we use both the KJV & the English Standard Version (ESV).

A little bit about my background:

I graduated with both my bachelors & masters degrees from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. I then served as youth pastor/associate pastor at two churches: Open Door Bible Church in Hudson, Michigan and Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church in Baldwin, Maryland. Before accepting the call to pastor Grace Bible Church, I served as the administrator of a Christian pro life pregnancy center in Ohio. I've served as pastor of Grace now since mid July 2007.

I live in Stewartstown, PA along with my wife, Becky, and 3 sons: Micah (4), Jaan (2) and Ethan (2 months). Along with serving at the church, my wife stays busy as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I operate a local web marketing company.
